Introducing.................

The Official Launch of our very own "Bonzie" website ( finally!)
Gals you might remember we mentioned gifting ourselves at christmas time with our very own website, well after 2 months of tinkering with html codes, and general all round computer techy stuffamajuff (as my partner would say), that clearly confused the earlobes right off my face we have finally gotten our site up and LIVE on the world wide web. :)

Its been somewhat of a challenge understanding all the bits and bobs that were required to complete the site but we have finally ( after endless damzel in distress style emails to our support team!) have managed to compose the beginnings of what is to be another muffin in the bonzie cake tin. :)
We love the romantic haunted vibe of the website, the tattered fabric, the music, the romantic french swirls, encapsulating some of what we enjoy here at studio "Bonzie". We will be adding a lot more content over the next few months so stay tuned, but for now, I hope you guys take a peek and enjoy the early excitement with both of us. xxx

Its getting very exciting round these parts folks as we count down the days to our very first Trunk Show as part of the Upcoming "Soiree in the City" in Philadelphia! This is the very first International Bridal Event that we are taking part in and we are really looking forward to taking part. Hosted by noted Bridal Photographer Laura Eaton and Sponsored by Philadelphia Wedding Magazine promising to be a really exciting evening for gal pals as they sip on cocktails and sample many of the treats in store! Set in Lauras Studio it makes a very intimate enjoyable evening out of the old school Bridal Fair style event.

If your in the area why not stop by for a look but be sure to RSVP first!! I spoke to Laura today and the numbers are filling up fast!

Ger and I will be online in real time available to chat with any brides that might like to ponder any queries, heck we are really only dying to be part of the action too! We might have to slip on our favourite "GĂșnas" and pop open a bottle of vino at the computer just to get into the spirit of things.

Here are the details of the event for those of you living nearby. :)

We are working on adding a darker vein to the collection this season as winter and halloween approach. In actual fact I have seen a wee rise in the number of brides looking for dark/black wraps and boleros to compliment ivory/white wedding dresses. This is a really interesting alternative bridal trend emerging and brings a whole new meaning to the term, black tie wedding!

Gals, Ger and I are heading up the country this Sunday for another photoshoot adventure with a bust of more stock! It is staged at an antique manor estate which I am burstin to see. I love haunted olde worlde Manor Houses! The decor , the atmosphere, the wallpaper! lol

I am really looking forward to a roadtrip and feels a bit like an adventure coming on! I will keep you posted how it goes.

I have been busy lately in the studio with a steady stream of custom orders. The most recent one being this antiquated tattered underbust corset for an awesome client on etsy. My client is planning on rocking this with a pair of ruffled cotton bloomers! What a perfect client, I just love those that dare to be individual in their approach to personal adornment!

A grey Day!

So today is a grey day in so many ways! Its been raining non stop for the last 2 days (and yes I left the laundry hanging out on the line yesterday!) seriously though, designers shouldn't have to do domestics right????? I never saw Carrie Bradshaw stressing out over a precipitation party coming down on her whites out on the clothes line! ;(

On another Grey front, I leave you with the latest custom order in the shop right now. A Grey muted toned neck adornment for the fabulous Fringe of etsy! ;)

More tattered loveliness of the corsage variety, available here!

These corsages would lend very well to bridal and especially if you have bridesmaids! If your looking for a set made in any size or colour let me know, I can custom make these to your specifics. ;)

Well... finally the sun decides to pay us a visit here in Ireland! We are having the most gorgeous (dare I say it!) Summers day today and I felt it would be the perfect opportunity to photograph the newest piece for my etsy boutique. I called in my model for an emergency *lets catch the sunlight for the summer dress* photo op!

For some reason this new summers dress just needed to be flooded with sunnyness to best show it off! The romantic lilac dress will be available to buy soon from my etsy shop. ;)

And to those enjoying the sunshine today, I hope it lasts a little bit longer for you than our usual glimpse or ray of hope! lol

Ok, by now you guys know that I like me a bit of olde worlde now and again, well for this latest piece I did everything bar feed it to the neighbours dog to get that old, antiquated look on something brand new. I think I managed to distress it enough, in fact it looks like something out of an old historical museum! Job well done I would say! ;)
